Staying Sporty

This is my writing assessment. I have tried to independently improve my sentences. I am looking to check that they make sense. I am checking my punctuation. I think that I was successful at organising my sentences.

Staying Sporty

I strongly believe that sports is way more important than music. Some people think that music is more better than sports, but they are wrong. Sports is more important than music.

Firstly, Why I say that sports is vital for you is because. What are you going to do about your health when you're listening to music? Infact, is it going to do to your health? It definitely is not going to make you fit that’s for sure. Well, if you play or do something sporty then yes it will be good for your health. I mean right? If you didn’t do any sports then your health won’t be as good as it can be.

Secondly, why I say that sports is vital for your health is because when you at least play or do something sporty it’s an it helps your health. Sometimes it can be an effective way for having a good health and that’s what everyone wants right good health? I would want that.  it’s very appalling to see your not even trying to be sporty not even in the littlest way. Come on New Zealand  don’t you want to be part of the Olympic. I would if I could. Be fit think about your health come on.

Lastly, why I think being sporty is good for you is because when you do just the littlest thing you are trying to be sporty. I mean wouldn’t you be trying? I think you would be and I know you would be. Don’t you think it’s fun in the littlest way? I find it very entertaining in every way because it’s good and beneficial for my health and yours’. Go outside don’t be a potato couch the dirt won’t hurt you. Believe me, you would not want to be the loner the one who never talks to others. Come on go outside even for a minute make your adrenaline pump.  

In summary, As I said before I strongly believe that sports is way more important than music. Be healthy and fit on every way.

Self reading

Today me and my class did self reading and I read the wringer and this is also my novel study. I think that I did okay but next time I will do better. I hope you enjoy.

This week we were doing some problem solving, to learn about place value. WALT: Learn to share ideas with other people.

WALT improve our vocabulary by using words and phrases that enhance the feeling of our recounts (fear or sadness)

In class I needed to write a recount from the perspective (view) of a child working in a sweatshop. I chose to be a kid working in a Hasbro work shop. I think that I was successful because, I use descriptive words and phrases to enhance the mood of fear or sadness.

In writing I was learning how to use disruptive words and different moods like fear and sadness.

On Thursday I was late for work.

When I walked in the boss stormed out his office. “Is this a joke to you!” He said with a frightening voice. “ No I, sorry i’ll never be late again” my heart pouned like a drum.

As I sat down to have lunch I reminded myself about this morning “I never want to feel like that again” I said to tyra; Out of everyone in the factory my only friend was Tyra she was the only person that was nice to me.  

We worked all day sometimes I wish I could go to school. At 6:00 pm. We all had a one minute break even that wasn’t enough time to eat. As we all went back to work I saw a worker fanit. My body froze in shock. My boss came down “What happened wake her up and tell her to get back to work” he shouted. An  hour later, the worker woke up. “Master said to tell you to get back to work” I had said with a frown.

At 10:00pm,  I felt like I will never live the dream of going to school and getting a family of my own I thought to myself. As I sat there eating my lunch I could feel happiness bubbling throughout me, for I knew it was almost bed in 30 min. But as I just felt like that the boss came out and said. “You can all work for another hour” he said with no sadness. I worked to 11:00pm. I was so happy that the day was over.

Numbers

Last week I was learning about how important it is to read instructions properly and to look at the key in graphs.

Here are a few problems I worked on. It is important that I look at the key because it tells you how much it is like a whole is 6, half is 3 and 2 is a quater.

                  Money Made at the Garage Sale

Key: =  $ 6 & = $ 3

How much money was made on Tuesday?  We went  like this  6x4=24 and then i add the 3 to make 27 so that how much there are on Tuesday.

How much more money was made on Wednesday? for this one we went like this 2x3=6.

How much more money was made on Monday than Thursday? 30-18= 12 so the answer is 12.  

On A Roll!

WALT improve our writing by carefully checking our sentences and trying to add descriptive language. 

I think I need to learn more about descriptive language a bit more and use punctuation better

                                          Playing board games and waiting for the cabin

On one breezy day as I was looking outside I was tempted to go play with someone. But you know how it goes right? When you want to play with someone or do something but they don’t want too. Well, that’s what i’m talking about but one thing that they wanted to play can you guess?  It was board games like Snake s and Ladders, Guess Who? And Monopoly baking. A few minutes later, guess what showed up in my mailbox? My slime I ordered off Wish.

“YAY!” I yelled like a wild horse.   

                                                            Shonagh moved in,   

When I was going into the kitchen for a snack I may have overheard that my sister Shonagh was going to move back in. Then I said to my sister. “D’Jahn D’Jahn I overheard Mum talking on the phone. Shonagh ’s cabin is coming here today!” I said with so much joy. “Really? Or is this one of your made up stories?” D’jahn said with a big frown. “Really she is!” I said with a big smile on my dail. By the time i just told her Shonagh showed up she gave us a hug and said “I’m moving back in ” she said with loving eyes. And that filled my heart with joy.

My reflection

My feeling that day was happy, joy and excitement knowing that Shonagh was going to move back in.

On one lovely Friday afternoon just as I woke up from a nana nap there was something very odd by me. “Ahhh help some one want’s to eat me!” I gulped. But when I got up it was just a kitten a harmless one too. Dad dashed into the room as fast as he could. “ Are you okay?” he quavered. Just by looking into his face you could see that he was very worried. “I’m just fine dad are you okay?”   I said with a smile on my face. “ of course I am“ he said. His face lit up with joy.

After that I went outside with with my most beloved sister Shonagh. “What is this?” I boasted. “you found my gem! Where was it.” She said happily. Then joy left Shonagh face alone and I can say that twice. A while later, dad came into the room. “What’s going on in here” he bragged. “Nothing much” Edward said like he didn’t care. That’s true he never cares about anyone but the truth is the truth I mean right?.          

                                                                         Why?    

“Give it back to me!” she nagged maybe 1,000 times. “Fine” I replied with a groan but that’s only because she was chasing me around. At night I thought to myself why did i find it and how did I find it and why did I give it to her? That will alway remain in my head. Also the way Shonagh was crying she could flood the whole house soon!.     

                                                   

                                                      My Reflection              

I will never forget the part when I saw my mum filled with joy and my feeling’s that day was pretty funny feeling.

This week my class has been reading a book of our choice and I chose this book.

Topic: Toxic things

One big problem is that workers are getting sick all because of making the newest tech. It's killing them, also they need the money to help their family and feed them. They don’t know how much of a risk it is to work there everyday soon or later they're going to hurt themselves or, kill themselves.

People are working in factories and because of this they are killing themselves.

I know I was successful because I used cause and effect connectives and others.
